There’s research (The China Study, Dr. Colin Campbell) that shows that dairy proteins can affect cancer in a deleterious way. There’s also research that shows that a plant based diet is healthier.
I have an understanding of how/why that is.
Basically, it goes that plant proteins and enzymes are designed to work in a plant. Animals are designed for animal.
When you eat a plant, nothing that as it passes through liver and the rest of the body is native to affecting the human biology.
If you eat meat, there will always be some enzymes and proteins that will making it into the blood stream. They’re made to interact with animal biochemistry so there you have it–you’ve got foreign animal enzymes/proteins affecting the body.
You would think that because the animal has been butchered that they would be all inert, but death doesn’t destroy everything in an animal directly. Cooking will break down many of the proteins, but not all. Stomach acids can break down many, but not 100% of them.
This means that the animal foods have a stronger and more unpredictable effect on the consumer.
Apparently, the effects have a tendency of animal products is more negative given the health benefits of a plant based diet.
