Cycles

Inside a beehive, life swarms furiously.
Throughout the day, a mountain goat climbs.
Life soars in the joy of a condor.
A child rests peacefully in the arms of mother sloth.

Simple patterns can blossom at times.
A beautiful universe has been filled with galaxies.
Their complexity thwarts explanation of the unknown.

The new and original foreshadows the common.
Sudden changes are resisted in this world.
The crests of a wave forget the troughs.
The next wave will complete the pattern.

If progress falters, an outside force will restart it.
As darkness grows oppressive,
look for the dawn of a new cycle.
