The music grew to an awesome peak.
I was happy to listen to the famous songs.
My family looked forward to the annual show.
Each of us brought our own contribution:
A voice, an instrument or just a laugh.
We filled the melody with beauty and strength,
The artistic unity perfectly matched the season.
My words were only a small part.
In the past, I did not know what to say,
however, today I filled my place in the group.
When we paused, my excitement grew.
Someday the ceremonies might end.
Greed or conflict might take over.
The woods might fall or burn.
Perhaps the family’s symmetry would be broken.
I am happy that we have had one more success.
My memory of this day will not fade.
I know that I am part of our community.
