Life Today

I walk beside a crowded boulevard.
Every step I make must miss the cracks.
Each word I speak may not offend.

I pray that I won’t seem silly.
I have perfect trust, if you only knew my heart.
The things I feel come from a pure soul.

I know the differences between men and women.
We change our moods with every moment.
I’ve found an explanation that I can understand.

Each day, the future verges on the past.
I’m always in the present now.
Change brings on wild turbulence.

I don’t think I fit any molds.
Every time I am thinking, I leave today.
I try to ignore the thoughts that come.

Signs and songs fill my mind.
I live in the middle of a picture of life.
I want to see beauty and love.
