Doorways

Why does the opening of a doorway matter?
If it is wide and brightly lit, I will step through.
I am confident of my decision to begin moving.

When I need change, I ask questions.
In an old and stagnant world, time passes slowly.
The living and vibrant world speeds past.

Your words spread news of my laughter.
My long running play is a comedy.
I smile because the audience feels amused.

The doorway on the stage is ajar.
Shall the actors walk in or step away?
This choice is but one of many.
