I found a word of peace.
I listened carefully
I heard the hidden message.

I keep the lyrics in my heart.
They give me hope and a purpose for my life.
I began to sing with joy.
My companions saw my love.

My soul is growing a stronger freedom.
I am glad to share the words.
My friends hear my joy.
I have given them a new way to hope.

I have forgotten who sang the song first.
I remember the day, but not the place.
However, I came into the light that day.
Now I share my life freely.

I am growing older.
I give my love to my family.
I walk through my life with hope.
I am happy and full of peace.
