Oliver Lake

The unclean waters are fathomed.
The clear waters are deeper still.
The stream grows wide.
I wade into its cold arms.

I remember a day on the shore.
The sky was cold like the snow.
The ice bound water was clear.

A new building has replaced the old.
A peaceful landscape surrounds that cottage.
Oliver Lake fills its windows.

I have good memories of that beach.
The neighbors there were true.

I am sharing a happy life with my friends.
We laughed together again today.
Our lives are intertwined through love.
