Radiating a Beauty

She radiated a beauty only known in legends.
She was the center of many men’s attention.
I saw that she was full of humility.
Her poise and grace mystify me.
Her virtues kept her love unattainable.

I wonder about her family.
Did they train her to be calm and patient?
Did they say “Remember where you come from”?
I don’t know because I dare not ask.

I see older women who were beautiful in their youth.
They beauty slowly faded over the years.
I will wait to see what happens to her glory.

I have become bolder lately.
I try to bring myself to her attention.

I hope my affection is the one thing she misses.
