A Cloud

What does a cloud feel as it passes by?
I watch it grow nearer as it floats above me.
Like a meditating priest, it is silent and calm.

I know that the sky is changing.
Some days the blue is unchallenged.
Often I only see a grey curtain.

Every night I look up to see the stars.
They seem eternally strong as they twinkle.
Nighttime clouds can only hide them briefly.
I believe that their light is a beacon of hope.
