Darkness

Darkness approached quickly.
I was surprised by my blindness.
I could see, yet I was blind.
My inner light was darkness.

I have some guides who saved me.
They appeared mysteriously.
I received unmerited love.
Their words softened my heart.
They removed the scales from my eyes.

I still need their aid for my vision.
I have a faint inner light.
I see shadow and bright.
I’m still blind,
but I don’t live in darkness now.
