Shadows

Mountains cast shadows in the evening twilight.
They darken the crimson clouds behind me.
I saw birds begin to land and grow still.
Night has come near again.

When I awoke in the morning,
I saw the sun rising over our lake.

The shimmering waves are creating dancing lights.
My wall reflects their dynamic motion.
I enjoy seeing that I am part of a larger world.

As the days cycle, I embrace nature’s mysteries.
