Far Above

I was far above the world.
I didn’t expect this new perspective.
I was enthralled by the beauty around me.

The houses below were like a model railroad.
I could see the clouds from a new angle.
My breath was taken away by the sights.

This was an opportunity to live in freedom.

I returned to the familiar again.
The mundane tasks of the day fill my time.
Every hour I get another responsibility.
I fulfill my duties even when I struggle.

I might climb the sky again.
My gratitude will grow even stronger then.
