A Mysterious Beginning

The beginnings are lost in the mists of time.
I am researching this mystery alone.
I have found several clues and a few hints.
The world around me is truly simple.
It is not like the explanations I’ve found.

Every day I hope for new discoveries.
My mind is filled with thoughts of last night.
I have been pursuing strange life forms
that may have fathered us all.

I am not growing tired of this challenge.
However, I have returned to my family.
Our love for each other is true.

These familiar companions renewed my spirit.
I have begun to participate with them again.

I love my mystery, but it doesn’t bring me peace.
