My Small Village

I am wandering a small village.
I will meet many unusual people today.
I enjoy these daytime walks.

I work hard to improve my life.
However, progress only comes slowly.
Memories of the past fade away.
I am full of happiness now.

People I meet see my smile.
They appreciate that I love them.

Today is a special day.
I have worked very hard to make it here.
I want to thank everyone for their love.

The village’s buildings are commonplace.
The narrow lanes are paved with bricks.
The roads stretch out to the horizon.

I am glad to live here.
The people here make me happy.
They protect me from horrible forces.
They protect me from myself.
