Sunset

Sunset is coming soon.
Calling birds fly home to nest.
The brilliant clouds will fade soon—
a somber night begins again.

Quiet fills the air around me.
The world is growing cold.
Night lasts long in this season.
A new day will come again.

I feel safe in the approaching dawn.
Thousands of birds fly up into the day.
The sun appears and the morning begins.
I see an eagle lift up its wings.
