Snow Floats Down

Snow cristals
I watch the snow float down.
The flakes seem to shiver as they fall.
They are accumulating in elegant drifts.
A growing burden covers the green boughs.
A frozen mountain stands beside my car.

The seasons of life are far away.
My memories of springtime are fading.

In the darkness, my sleep is labored.
The pressures of the day weigh heavy.
I have argued with subtle words today.
The truth around me is weakening.

I awaken and my nightmare recedes.
I am hopeful again.
I am glad for the day.

The snow has purified my heart.
