Floating

My voice reveals my frustration.

I have released a power that I rarely show.
I have found my spirit’s true voice.

As I lose my timid heart,
I can talk of a quiet love.
What I do each day is different.

The rain outside does not dampen my joy.
I walk through the downpour and smile.
It is as if my old skin is being washed away.
A new butterfly has left its cocoon.

I begin to float away today.
I feel free. I feel happy. I feel strong.
I rejoice in this new path of my life.

What will I do the rest of the day?
I will look for someone to share with.

Now I am starting my life in a new reality.
