A Weeping Song

The Statue WeepsI heard a song build around me.
I felt its sad notes weeping.
A life begins and ends with silence.
A respite that helps me remember it all.

I am grateful for the days I spent with you.
You shared your love with me freely.

I remember yesterday’s joys.
I experience today to its fullest.
Memories teach me the path of hope.

I look up and you are still gone.
