Long Ago

NineStarsLong ago, the trees took root.
The sun gave them life.
The rain quenched their thirst.
Their sisters and brothers grew tall.

I was surprised to see their joy.
Now the field is a happy woodland.
Many creatures fill the air
with the sounds of life.

The trees add soft whispers
to the cool breezes of Spring.
A white flower grows at my feet.
I am in awe of God’s bounty.
