I was standing on the shore of a lake.
I watched waves wash onto the beach.
Birds were calling out.
I saw fish breaching the water.
I don’t remember the weather that day.
I’m not sure where I was.
I do know that I felt a great peace.
My friend returned from his travels.
I am glad for his company.
Our pleasant memories still linger.
