Sowing Laughter

Chickadee
I can only share with my companions.
Their seeds flourish with deep roots.
Their blossoms spread a fragrant vapor.
When I sow seeds in my heart, they wither.

I talked to a friend this morning.
I received hope and lost my fear.
Although alone, I am growing joyful.
I calm myself and wait.

I stay with people who love me.
I am quiet and finding happiness.
I begin to know my people.
We will laugh together again.
