The Northern Edge

Sunset at Lake Okeechobee from South Bay
I had been walking on the northern edge.
I noticed the shadows quickly falling around me.
I’m sure that night will come soon.
Each moment here has become a memory.

My past visions are stored safely.
My dreams of the future give me hope.
After I returned home that night,
I read a poem about a beautiful sunset.
