The Day I Want

George Washington National Forest
Will the day go as I want?

I have detailed plans and strategies.
I must follow them through to the end.
I am honest when I say they are worthwhile.
They will lead me to the life I need.

Life is too slow for me.
I see too few changes each day.

I know that I am going someplace else.
I am yearning for a new adventure.

My destination is far away.
I haven’t planned the route to take.

When I arrive, it all will be different.
