The Sun Fades Away

Crashing Waves and Bird
The sinking sun fades into the ocean.
Seabirds pause in silence for a moment.
The wind is calm and the water still.

This mystery is repeated every day.

The words of ancient lore
call this moment a sacred time.

I reflect on my deeds today.
I ask for guidance through the night.
I pray that the morning sun will be shining.
I wait for another moment tomorrow.
