Fading Light of the Moon

MoonWe watch the fading light of the moon
We visit a busy garden by the river
Friendship reveals new possibilities

We met long ago and parted with joy
Her glance toward me meant it all
We enjoyed a silent dance that night
We were at peace in the new day

I noticed that she has had many changes
Slowly, she let me into her world
She longs for a new life and a new home
Loneliness and regret were taxing her soul
With the gift of a pleasant moment, she laughed

Today, the events were wonderful
Her path through life started again
We will have a beautiful journey together
Each dawn renews our love

I had welcomed her into my world
We connected with a strengthening bond
Each day we watch the moon grow brighter
