Childhood Rain

There's Really Nothing Holding You Back Than You
While walking in the rain, my smile grew wide.
I saw the children playing full of joy.
Their prancing dog kept them laughing.

I don’t remember that day as cold nor gloomy.
The sky glowed with the colors of the dawn.

Now the children have gone away.
The years told them to leave for other toys.
Less satisfying than the rain and dog,
it was too late to return.
