My heart is alive with love today.
I long to share it with a special friend.
Can I show that my yearning runs deep?

I strive to paint a poem with my emotions.
I retrieve my pen and start to write.
Although the words flow slowly,
I continue on to win the challenge.

As night approaches I feel tired and rest.
I fill with joy as I close my eyes.

I will be complete when he returns.
