Progress

Waves breaking
Have I progressed far enough?

I walked through the day in safety.
My joy is palpable.

I was very hopeful.
I felt alive and truly free.
I see no illusions ahead.
I hear no discouraging words.

I am at a perfect place of peace.
This is such a magnificent gift.
I’m praying that it will persist.
I hope for more progress tomorrow.
Once more, I shall be set free.
