Narrow Vision

Eye of the Holder
Darkness seeped all around.
Silent star-like flashes
proved the walls were standing.

Much changed in the short evening.

Tomorrow I’ll be traveling
through town as the rain falls.
Just like any other day,
duty pulls me by my core.

A glowing sun reminds me
there is life beyond my narrow vision.
