A Surging Sea

Ocean surf crashing over rocks
When the sun shines no more,
the sadness of my world of tears
will flow into the surging sea.

I feel better tonight.
I can forgive my confusion.
My heart still beats strong
and I don’t need the fear.

The light around me glistens.
The people with me laugh.
I am not alone any more.

I have left school in order to learn.
Every day offers me a different key.
One might unlock my fastbound heart.
It will allow the sun to shine again
as the life-bringing Springtime returns.
