My friend, a humble breakfast cook,
loves to create authentic meals.
Renaissance food is his passion.
His skill has been growing and growing.
He can use forgotten ingredients,
but even so, he entices my appetite
with tastes from an era lost to time.
I enjoy the dishes he makes.
I have to praise his unique style.
A surprise is always waiting for me.
I’m sorry when I seem him in the kitchen.
He is making the most mundane food there.
He should use his talents like an artist.
I say he should be a master chef somewhere.
