At the Show

Cisolay at GamescomI’ll be getting home soon.

I have seen that musical finally.
It was full of wisdom and light.

I almost didn’t see it.
Other plans fell through.
My mishap was really a blessing.

As the lights went up on the stage,
the crowd was dazzled by the show.
The play unfolded with bold intrigue.
The audience couldn’t verify the truth.

In the aftermath of the drama,
I found a new understanding.
The singer’s lies were a warning.
In the hands of the powerful,
words are rarely as they seem.
