A Black Storm

After the black storm I lost my peace.
Days came and went and I could not rest.
I lost the will to take a single pace forward.
Days came and went, life was dark as night.

I was in a vast wasteland alone.
Every day I wanted to escape my life.
Every night I lost my hope once again.

One morning I saw a new light.
I started a new cycle.
I am starting over, full of joy.
My burdens are lighter now.
I no longer struggle alone.

Now the storm is over.
I have lost that paralyzing fear.
I will remember this if the storm returns.
