A Splash of Joy

From the WordPress archive….

Today, I am full of joy.
I’m running in the family lake.
Although I will be dripping wet,
the chilling air doesn’t worry me.

I have friends here this summer.
When I see them smile, I laugh along.
We share secret thoughts in confidence.
We can find humor in the smallest things.

I smile as the jokes cross my mind again.
When I remember the hard times,
I’m glad they’ve gone away.
I jump in with another splash of joy.
