I made a breakthrough today.

My steps are light again.
I find that I can laugh now.

Where was my spirit before?
I only remember weeks of darkness.
My cage is broken and I’m free now.

I remember falling asleep yesterday.
My dreams were mysterious.
I awoke as if a miracle had come.
I had a smile on my heart.

Soon I’ll be talking with you.
Words are my companion again.
I am not alone as I felt before.

I have a home today.
The alienation has faded away.

Light has conquered my shadows.
