The Show

The show began too slowly.
I expected more action.
At first I was angry.
I thought it would be better.

I shut my ears with anger.
I closed my eyes out of frustration.
I stewed in my seat, my mind in a tempest.

As the show continued, my heart grew softer.
The action was not with guns and soldiers.
Instead I saw an insightful picture of life.
With each voice my understanding grew sharper.

It was a unique presentation.
Each scene revealed more wisdom.
I almost gasped in surprise.
I regret my resentment.
My expectations were surpassed completely.
