The day was growing long.
Night approached quickly again.
The sun fought to continue shining.
The earth turned away and the darkness grew.
Twilight faded and the sun was lost again.
The world spins round and round.
Daylight was defeated one more time.
It persists to fight a dark enemy.
It loses the battles, but holds on tightly to hope.
My words to share are shallow.
My sympathy is wasted as I stammer.
I hold fast to my faith and wait.
Then, in the morning, I greet the day with love.
