I was talking with a friend.
She made a jab. I made a parry.
Because she laughed I made my point.
My new agility is fun today.
I can jump and catch the thrust.
I hop aside and throw a reply.
Today’s gift is the peace I felt.
I walked a beach at sunrise alone.
I saw the moon as geese flew by.
The tide came in and the sun grew stronger.
As I came home, I truly felt loved.
My friend called and I listened again.
Her voice alone can make me happy.
We laughed again and I smiled.
