Danger

Today I awoke to the sound of gunfire.
Last night I slept with the spiders.
These dangerous days reveal the truth,
but they are not my destiny.

I’ve escaped from the forest before.
My fear of destruction drove me back.
I will fill with courage and leave again.

I can open my mind and see many paths out.
I am growing secure in my decision.

I will make the final trek tonight.
