I Saw

I saw the evening light fade away.
The sun’s family came out above me.
Every star must be someone’s home.
I dream of their perfect lands.
I want to learn how to find them.

The moon rose at midnight.
I saw the lunar disk shining coldly.
Its beauty brought back happy memories.
I thought of the village of my childhood.

I wonder if I can simplify my life.
I will walk through the hills alone.
My laughter will fill the air.

I am sleeping in late again.
I will escape from life’s pressures.

Tonight the friendly stars will return.
