Filled With Sorrow

The days before were filled with sorrow.
I hurt deeply with no one to comfort me.
I was weary from long days alone.

Joy had been swept away like autumn leaves.
My anguish reached a limit and I lost all hope.
My sadness grew and I filled with tears.
I looked away to hide my face.

I wandered into a glade of trees.
A quiet brook washed away my cares.
Days of hope have come again.
Light is shining in my heart once more.
