I have been alone in all the world.
My family is far away.
My friends have fled to a safe city.
Long ago, my neighbors had moved.
I didn’t believe this day would come.
Peace is distant and unfamiliar now.
Today I will make a decision:
Will I stay to the bitter end?
Long ago, I had no uncertainty.
I would stay because my home is my life.
Today my life is from the people in it.
I have decided to willingly join the refugees.
